Aussie-Based Carbon Revolution Creates the World’s First One-Piece Carbon Fiber Rim - Carscoop
yes australia may have made the first production type.. but they've been doing carbon centres in europe for over 5 years now (koenigsegg CCX, special porche's etc.). a few companies in europe (can't remember who) tried to develop a full carbon wheel, but found its $hti because it couldn't handle loads properly or something like that, and probably the cost too.
they may be light, but if they were good they'd be on F1's by now.
maybe now with new technologies and methods they may be able to do it properly, but for $15,000!!
found this from Japan
