re the keyhole- dont they have to fit extended cables through to the driver's part of the cabin, so that they can still utilize the in-boot opening lever?

As of late, I've been getting into this sort of stuff.
Also been watching some very interesting stuff on BMW's history from planes to how they started into motorbikes.
Funny, I worked for them for 10 years & never really gave it all much thought.
R32 (yes, there was a R32 long before VW & Nissan!)
My favorite style R16
They held several speed records throughout the 20's,30's & 40's.
In 1937 they had eclipsed 200+mph on one of there motorbikes!
