Went up to Barbagallo raceway today to watch one the technicians at work race his civic. Its pretty quick and he holds the second fastest lap record for his class. His mate holds the actual record who also drives a near identical civic. This is the engine.

gotta love a clean Datto 1600 , whats he done to the civic?

Dunno too much. Lightened flywheel, susp, clutch, LSD, its the Jap spec 1.6 and is one of the fastest in Aus. Makes about 160bhp.

Thats a different idea for routing air into the turbo, not bad. Frees up a lot of room in the bay. And speaking of induction paths that civic posted earlier has a nice looking pipe leading up to the throttle body, looks like a 2-stroke exhaust expansion chamber.

it is getting there i have just finished the new engine loom and switching, microtech is sorted gauges are done, built some solid mounts for the engine, did the tie rod flip, mounted the dry cell battery and blah blah blah

i am getting really excited about it but still a ways off
