Thumbs down Capped Servicing Price just a Marketing Shuffle?

Seems to me that VW Australia's attempt at competitive capped service pricing is a little weak. However, I'm not coming from a position of experience in VW ownership and servicing (just about to start my VW journey next week when I take delivery of a Mk7 TSI). What do the rest of you think?

Pricing appears low enough but the exceptions to the capped price include some parts I would expect to be covered, like spark plugs. See here.
    and here.

Also, it seems the current capped deal is available for "New Golf manual and DSG models first sold by an authorised Volkswagen dealer on or after 27 April 2013" only, but current prices are valid only until 31st July 2013...

By the time I am due for the first standard scheduled service @ 15k km, the pricing is out of date and probably jacked up? Or am I missing something?

As with everything, you always get what you've paid for.
So, I wouldn't be surprised if the cars that are serviced under such and similar schemes are in much worst mechanical condition and have a lower resale values or no value at all.

Many years ago Daewoo car company brought to AU a Daewoo free care (or no care?), which didn't help and now they are gone.

Be very careful when someone offers you a deal where you will end up paying them less.

No matter what, they have to get a minimum amount through their tills just to break even. Anyone who went to senior management where it was proposed that customers would actually end up paying less would not have a job for very long.

As with insurance (that other great scam), the person operating the scheme does not miss out
