The ACT Euro plates were launched yesterday by Attorney-General Simon Corbell.
Chic ACT drivers can slim down
I have to admit that I’m slightly disappointed with it. Some minor details that others may not notice include:
Plate border is blue and not black like the real Euros and Euros of other states
The left pillar just has ACT on them whereas other states will have the state acronym with the Southern Cross, to mimic the European country letter plus the European flag stars.

I'd never pay the $700+ for them anyway...
I actually quite like these new ACT Euro plates, the monochrome look with the blue border works for me, but they don't even come close to the clean look you can get with ACT plastic plates that cost less and come in a whole bunch of colours and can be ordered with no holes drilled so you can mount them UK style with velcro (not to mention the endless fun you can have with the custom slogan and logo that ACT allows)

V[ictoria] plates were tempting with VW or VAG references but I'm pretty sure all the good ones were already taken anyway.
