Words to remember - "UP TO" 80cm and 2100.
I think the IPCC (Ar5) range was 30-80cm. Not quite so sensational at 30cm over 87 years.
Hey guys,
I was reading today's Sydney Morning Herald, and thought this article may be of interest to people that may not have seen it. Just some photographs below that I took of the article.

Bondi would be no great loss anyways
Tony said it doesn't exist so nothing will ever happen.
Or, he will just stop people from releasing information about it.

Haha, thanks Tim.
Yes, we might have to wait a few years to see any noticeable difference, but I don't think the government are doing enough to prevent this from happening. We can all agree to disagree with Tony Abbott's thoughts on rising issues
Any responsible mayor with future understanding would plan for rising issues and the probable worst-case scenario to occur. Why don't they take any action?! Some tall retaining sea walls would be a great step in the right direction towards preventing the occurrence.

Tis folly to think we can hold back the power of the ocean
The sensible approach is to sell any seaside real estate you have before it starts being affected (and quietly laugh at whomever you sell it to), and buy somewhere more than a few metres above sea level so that your grand kids can inherit the beachfront property in 100 years or so.
Oh - and don't wait for any government to do anything about it... I mean, they might send you a helicopter when you are drowning, but thats a bit late
Sorry, my inner cynic there
Lucky for most Sydneyites, largely everyone lives significantly above sea level. There are other places in the world where people are already being affected (many small pacific nations). Things like their groundwater becoming saline.
We should think ourselves lucky.
