I got a message from my mate saying our mk2 GTI had been flooded up to its windows over out west! Quickly followed by another message saying he was kidding!

I'm fine at work in Toowong, probably going to go home though because none of my clients are at work.

Whats it like in Wynum West? My uncel is there and I havnt been able to contact him.

Being Southside I think he should be ok but I know his shack backs onto a creek.

Wynnum Wet should be fine, it is close enough to the bay that it almost never floods.
Also being on the southside it is likely to be better off.

I know for sure Jon_GTI, shanneth and trezza are ok but could all others please let us know

My heart and prayers go out to you all.
All good here Jase, cheers for your thoughts. I start back on Monday but many customers will be affected. Im keen to get out and volunteer if i can, Brizzy has been good to me and its time to return the favour. Its gonna take a long time to get back on its feet in many ways. Hearing all the choppers overhead sounds like nothing short of a warzone. Horrible
    cheers

Floods missed us by about 30cm's so all good. I'm going to have to cut my way into the main workshop door as we had to seal it with expanding foam!

Going to spend the next week helping out unfortunate mates who were not so lucky.

I just went out to see if I could get to work... talk about a post apocalyptic mud bath!

All through Oxley, Archerfield and Granard road were in a bad way. I'd hate to see peoples houses, must be heart breaking.

When I got home the GTI looked and smelled like a giant brown turd with oil and something dead thrown in. I had to wash it, turns out it was covered in tar as well.
