Hello, I'm wanting to buy an Amarok, I have a lot of VW history and general car buying history. Does anyone have a dealer they can recommend? I have a long list of ones to avoid

As one car sales man told me years ago , in peoples list of high esteem car dealers are just above child molesters . Maybe one of the newer ones that have recently set up at Greenslopes and Capalaba . I can't recommend the one in the Fortitued Valley our last purchase from them was not a pleasant experience and their service department was not much better .

Well when I was looking I went to the Valley and no one wanted to talk to me I asked eventually for a test drive of a Passat Wagon Was told we dont for that unless you buy one. I said I wont buy what I havent driven. Got my drive and never went back.

Previously had gone to Kedron. Said we had money in 6 weeks and wanted a Polo and later a Passat. Salesman said they had neither in stock and would ring me when they did. Couldnt have got any cos that was Dec 2010 and the phone hasnt rung yet. Then went to next dealer north They had a diesel Polo asked how much About $29900. Hmmm Went home looked on Carsales and that actual car was there for a bit over $28k. needless to say didnt go back
Ened up buying both off Highway at Underwood although it wasnt the pleasant experience it should have been.

Has been sold to Cricks now so may be better I dont know. All the others had Greek salespeople which I didnt like for the reasons above.

Thanks for the feedback! Really, please anyone? Just a name? Someone to recommend? I have only my own personal diabolical VW experiences and feedback like the above ^^.

I have a vehicle, i would like to trade that in and purchase another, there may be finance, there may not be.

I would like an Amarok cause it suits the purpose and I have had a good experience with mine, the car. Everything else sucked.

Not here for another round of VW bashing. Thanks Again!!

I had the usual story with the centrally located dealer. Ended up going south to Tweed for my Passat purchase. Actually wanted my patronage and did everything to make it worth the drive. The dealer 5km north of the city was good for 4 years of servicing afterwards without any heartache, especially with warranty claims.

Cricks Highway claim they are aiming for 100% customer satisfaction. But we are happy to go anywhere that will give us the deal we want. The relationship is with the service department and we are still staying away from the crowded one near the city that dinged our last Polo and denied doing it.

The mob that used to own VW at Springwood the Highway group had the worst service department in the world , they took your money gave you no follow up and continuously kept telling us what was wrong and had no alternate suggestions other than high priced fixes . I think they had monthly service targets and the customer was the cash cow . A suggestion for Bombsquad DO NOT try and trade a VW into a VW dealer , they know already all the problems that have plagued VW's and will crucify you for it . We were in the market for a new T5 van a few years back , so we took our older T5 in for trade the van at worst at the time it was worth $10000. Private sale would have got me $13-$15 grand . So with only 125000 kays on the clock one owner the valuer told the salesman that as it was a VW automatic HE would not trust it and they offered me between $4000 and $7000 the bastard did not even have the decency to talk quietly as I am sure he wanted me to hear his opinion in front of the salesman .I walked out telling them that the valuer had just lost them a sale . They knew the reputation of all the different VW models and just did not want them on their lot .

I have had good experiences at Ian Boettcher in Bundamba both sales and service.
