Ive been there a few times. Its really a little bit too far out of the way I reckon. Around a 4 hour drive from melbourne from memory.

itll never be too far if you dont think that, we drive to sydney for a 1 day show, why not drive 4 hours and camp 2 or 3 night's and have a car show on the final day? opinions are nice to hear, but its the style of show im looking to setup.

    meeeeeee.
If we made a weekend out of it, it wouldnt be a long drive for most. We go to canberra and sydney all the time, this is no where near as far.
plenty to see and do if people didnt want a full w.e of cars, East Gippsland prides itself to being the hub for everything.
Ocean, lakes, rivers, mountains, snow etc. Something for everyone.
I'd have a few ideas for locations of cruises, BBQ lunches, show locations.
Lakes Entrance currently has a few car meets along the foreshore, close to the shops, plenty of trees, toilet block near by, caravan park across the road that might be good to stay at.
Buchan Caves/Metung/Paynesville could be a good place to cruise to and have a BBQ etc. I'll post up some more as i think of it.
I smash out bairnsdale to melbourne all the time (friday night after work, back sunday night to work first thing monday), its not that bad.

I would love the see SEDF numbers of VW and Euro cars fill my town!!

Something near the mountains would be great, with fun roads surrounding the location.

I stayed at a cabin resort in Metung once which is down that way. It is quiet, but nice.
