Hey all , Ill be brief -
I have emailed the department of fair trading about this issue and understand my rights so please dont refer me. Im after anyone that has been through this or a similar situations advice or experience !
I have a new car purchase and panels on the rear are not lining up. After the dealer has signed off on "adjusting to satisfactory" it exactly as before. I complained , and the service desk bloke states it will "be taken to a local repairer and repaired" when a couple of recall parts arrive from overseas (wastegate clip fix and radio update).
I inspected two other exact same model cars in the yard and pointed out they were perfectly aligned and no gap either side. He noted and stated it may be a fault in the manufacturing process.
I dont want a repaired car , less yet I dont want a re-repaired car. I feel like driving the thing through the frontage , leaving it there and demanding a brand new car.
Any thoughts on this ?! Is there any kind of claim I can make in regards to this ?
Cheers Ben
How long have you had the car?
Did you notice it when you took delivery of the car?
Are we talking about a VW?
