I left my parkers on and drained my battery.
Got a jump start and i'm away but now the "Airbag Fault" light is on.
I read elsewhere that this warning will go away once the battery is fully charged.. anyone know if this is correct?
seems weird
It is a Skoda Superb 2010, i've had it for about 10 days
I am not sure if its the same as what happened for my 2003 new beetle... but i had a fault with a battery that wouldn't hold charge... long story short i had it changed... when you flatten the battery the airbag system throws a fault to say that it would not have been able to fire as there was insufficient voltage from the battery.
It will not clear on its own because of the severity of the fault.. It had to be reset by a dealer. I was told that even though the fault is still there it does not prevent the airbag system from operating.
hopefully they dont try and charge you for the reset... they tried it on me for $120.
