ABC Television, Perth

Has anybody else in the Perth Metro area been experiencing strage squawking noises from ABC TV this weekend? I can't tell if it's the transmission that's at fault, or if it's my set top box, amplifier or speakers. It sounds something like the squeak you get from sports footwear on a basketball court.

Nope, mine was fine. My TV has digi built in just a fyi.

OK, thanks *thad*, so far as I'm aware it's only ABC that's at fault, but when I'm watching Letters And Numbers tonight on SBS I'll pay special attention to the audio. Come to think of it, I didn't notice any sound glitches when I was watching the rugby on Channel 9 on Saturday arvo nor when I was watching RockWiz on SBS on Saturday night.

By the way *thad*, is that a guitar you're holding or are you just pleased to see me???

Watching News24 this morning, the morning news and the the midday news in Bendigo, they were having some issues with crosses and strange noises and the presenters had to take over on a number of occasions.

Also im in Kensington on the top of the hill, may or may not make a difference. See if you can borrow another set top box and test it.

*thad*, I didn't notice anything last night, but we didn't watch any ABC apart from flicking over to see what Australian Story was about. I'm guessing it was a problem with the transmitter in Bickley.
