    Unfortunately he'd never be able to get "up into" your caddy.

    Well, I get my almost 93 year old mother into my Caddy. What I had to do was get a "step aerobics" step from some "sports shop" for $72 (ouch). It's only 150 to 200 mm high, but is just enough for her to first get on to it and then it's much easier for her to get in. The biggest problem for her is that the seat is much further in from the door than most other sedans, and so she cannot "sit back" into it.
