The greens are a joke. Theyre a protest party not a real viable option for government.
Whilst their ideals are all warm and fuzzy their policy in many instances is just plain unrealistic.
But forget the environment. This is the one that should ensure that no hot blooded victorian car enthusiast should vote green
"We want to see less focus on ‘blockbuster’ events and more support for participation in local sports clubs. We would end the Grand Prix in Albert Park."
Seriously, they are all smack driven hippies that drive pedal powered kombis.
[QUOTE=Jarred;591023]This is so true. Yet somehow all goverments in OZ are taking thier time to realise this! QUOTE]
The revenue raising officers who make a stack of cash from covert cameras and a like wouldn't like it.
It's easier to lower the speed limit and then make a stack of cash off everyday people and keep there booking numbers up so they look like they are doing a fantastic job.
If they were really interested in the problem more marked vehicles etc would go alot further in this than lots of unmarked fun cars they get to play in all day everyday.
That coupled with the afore mentioned better instruction etc would be great.
Sorry little off topic. My bad.
The Greens want to ban everything with an engine, internal combustion or electric - it doesn't matter. They also want to get rid of aeroplanes, the first step being building a high speed east coast rail line (which will probably wind around every frog pond from melbourne to brisbane) and cost a fortune to travel on. No aircon of course, that might upset the balance. Indian style cattle truck trains for all!
