    2 door mk3 vr6..

Just needing a few quick questions answered guys and girls...

Did the 3 door vr6 come out over here or would one I am interested in be converted?
If so has anyone brought one in form tassie to wa and could give me an idea on costs?

Would it be a night mare trying to get it road registered or fairly straight forward?

I would use it for work (going to and from) etc

The car in question is the blue 3 door mk3 vr6

I have emailed the seller just thought I would get a bigger audience views and opinions

chers in advance for any help/input Gerry.

The VR6's never came out in Aus as a 3 door so it wouldve been converted from a CL to the VR with all running gear, bumpers etc. But this just makes the car rarer and even more awesome

So would it have to be engineneered to be registered in wa?

And the engine be complianced etc?

I am thinking it will hey....

Hopefully it is, that way it's just a case of shipping and getting it checked...

There are a couple of factory 3dr VR's that i have seen floating around but were brought into aus as personal imports,

As far as having to be engineered in W.A i cant say because i only know about NSW....

What i do know in NSW there is no engineering certificate required when a 3dr conversion is done as the 2.8l 12v was offered in the mk3 so its just a matter of going to the RTA and getting the new engine numbers updated on the system .

mk 3's came with Vr's as standard (as in the chassis code will already corrospond to the chassis)

Yeah I know, but will that effect the registration in anyway due to it being converted???

Why not just ring up the transport authority in your state and find out??

I doubt doors will have any effect on anything. There's a few conversions running around so I think it should be fine.

Yeah I don't know too much about it, only that you don't need engineering done (win!!)
