i was planning on getting a 205/40 tyre on the 8j wheels.
225/45 will be to big, i've noticed.
do you think it will still rub or give problems when i put the 205 stretched on it?

should be fine, its all about the offset. an offset lower larger than 40 may cause issues with the inner clearance an offset lower than 35 is going to give poke, meaning if your suspension is not rigid, you could rub.

If you roll your guards, you can go wide!
