    Cool Will these fit?

Hey everyone, I don't know much about wheel fitment so I thought I'd ask the experts (you guys ). I've pasted the ebay link below and was wondering how they would fit my 1998 Golf CL 4dr, any help will be greatly appreciated will i need to roll the guards? or any adjusts at all to help these fit?
    In short:
    +0 Offset
    4x100 stud pattern
    16"x8"
57.1mm centrebore (if that has anything to with anything)
    16" Wheels Rim 4X100 ESM Style 001 Fit BMW 2002 E21 E30: eBay Motors (item 380250541199 end time Jul-22-10 19:02:41 PDT)
if link doesnt work here's the item number : 380250541199 (just copy-paste into ebay search bar) www.ebay.com
    Thanks in advance

I think you'd be hard stretched trying to fit those wheels with ZERO offset onto your mk3!!

Just for quick reference, a pair of wheels I have are 8.5 inches wide (so stick out .25" more than yours would) and are offset +10. They poke by about 10mm. I reckon they'd poke more on the front, as well!

Yep, will poke out a lot. Even if you get 195/40s, the tyres won't be stretching back far enough to sit under the arches. IMO, ET0 on rolled guards will look crap. If you're thinking of flaring/pulling the arches, then yeah, you might be able to make it work.

Those wheels that you've chosen should also be made in ET25 versions, and they're definitely more offset-friendly for the Mk3. 57.1mm centrebore is perfect for the Mk3 Golf.

That will tuck them in and potentially give your clearance problems with your suspension...

Stock wheels on the GL/CL were 14x6 ET38. +40 should be fine.

Even at 8" wide! The Audi wheels that Mickey has sits on 17x8.5 ET35 on the front. That said though, it wouldn't clear if the tyres were 245's.
