    Head down

    Got your priorities right there.
My son (Tassiegti) worked hard got his qualifications and was earning top money at 22 and bought himself a brand new GTI.

    Reward for effort I'd say
Keep up the good work and don't lose your interest in Golfs

In these days of "live now....pay later" (if you can) that's the way to go.
But back to wheels... Basically you can weld your centres onto any width rim. It's a specialised job that has to be left to the professionals as lives are more valuable than the money you save by doing it yourself (and people have in the past!). (Not VW) but you can get Peugeot 140pcd TRX centres welded into 15" Slykine rims. TRX are 390mm and only Michelin and Avon make the tyre size @ ~ $400 each. But I for one wouldn't go down that road as the metallurgy scares me. Would I be right in saying that welding alloy wheels is a no-no?
