    Wheels Spacers for my VR6

Has anyone got wheel spacers on their Golf (looking at between 10-15mm front and rear). Can you buy them in Australia or has anyone got them from overseas?

    Cheers.

mk3vr6 has a set of h&r on his vr.h&r are known to be the best in the world, but they are expensive.if I was buying just spacers I wouldnt be so worried about the quality but if you are looking for Adaptors, well buy the best you can find.
as for where to find them on te net, just shop around and ask as many questions as you can.

    Thanks gpk,

Hey Alex, my car has 30mm adapters/ spacers at the front and 40mm adapters at the back, that give it the fat look, and its great. I'm getting a bit of rubbing so I need to get the guards rolled. My springs at the back are to soft (COILOVER TIME )

I got my adaptors off someone off this forum, luckily. But you can get adaptors from TCCA that I know of and they are $300 for a pair of two. Spacers not sure but I am guessing he does them aswell. Adaptors change the stud pattern of the car, to run my Porsche 928 they needed a 5x112 as the golf was 5x100.

i really have to disagree there. if you take responsibility for him getting cheap spacers and then they cracking/breaking on him by all means ..

you must get decent quality spacers as you are putting a lot of weight on it and cheap ones are VERY well known to break quite easy and im sure people (minus tempe tyres) will tell you the same thing from the wheel industry. from experience i wouldnt run cheapo's! ever!

i can get TUV approved spacers 10-15mm from Germany for about 160-200 for a pair including extended lug nuts. let me know (or anyone) if they are interested

i currently have 20mm adapters on the rear, and 10mm spacers up front. the black gti runs 5mm up front and 12mm on the rear too. all tuv approved otherwise wouldnt be on my car!

I wouldn't use them either (not just 'cause they're illegal) but if I did, I would get ones that are TUV approved. Lots of loading on the suspension that the car was never designed for.

and im not selling anything,im sure he has a brain and is able to make up his own mind.its the responsibility of the seller to explain that these types of things are illegal in most states and not to be used on the road.hate to explain to the police or insurance co where he got them from. .
my brother inlaw has a set from supercheap on his skyline and they work fine.
as I said,I wouldnt use them, but he can make up his own mind.
