    wheels spacers

    hey everyone

Just about to order some new wheels but they are a different offset

my standard offset is 35mm and the new wheels are 45mm so i thinking about using a spacer
They said i could get away with about a 3 mm

    what do you think

35mm is how it sits now with how many inch rim?

45mm offset and any spacing varies considerably with the rims width. if they are the same it will bring the wheel inside the guards more by 10mm and then a 3mm spacer ends up with you being 7mm further inside the guards than you are now.

how wide are the new wheels?

it all depends on if they are the same width as your current wheels

what do you actually need/want to use the spacers for?

if you need to clear brakes, or the suspension, then just get the new wheels and work out how much you need.

or, tell us what wheels and someone will probably be able to help

in saying that, and the specs you gave me, it works out to be

    23mm LESS inner clearance

EXTEND an extra 3mm outer position

thats from a 16x7 ET35 to an inch wider and ET45 offset

well... if you get 20mm spacers, your wheels will sit roughly where they are now, and will be sitting an inch further in that what you have now
