Hi guys,
Wheels wont clear the brembo bbk. Running 18*8" Karthoum's ET50 wheels.
I know i need at least a 10mm spacer to clear the brakes.
I was just wondering if anyone happened to have any idea what the max spacer size i could run is without rubbing? Im just running stock everything else.
Any info would be really appreciated.

forgive my ignorance but im not exactly sure how to use that tool to get my answer?
All you do is enter the original details in "current wheel specs" which is 7.5" offset 51. Then enter details in"new wheel specs" which would be 8" wide and offset 50 plus the clearance that you think you need to clear the callipers. Press "calculate" and it will give you the new specs re clearance.

Im already running the Karthoum's on my car which are 18*8". Im not looking at changing my wheels.
The brake calipers rub on the wheels though. So i need to add spacers to stop this. I know im going to need probably 10 or 12mm spacers, but am concerned about how much clearance this is going to give me. Biggest concern is im going to push the wheel out too far and its going to rub / hit the guard on bumps.
ET42 on an 8" rim is virtually flush with the front fender. Much wider than that and you will start poking. A small amount of poke is usually not too bad so long as you do the fender screw mod and dont lower the car tooo far.
There arent many 10mm spacers on the market as the spigot on the hub interferes with the design of the hub centric ones. Your other option is to go either 8mm non wheel centric or 12mm standard hub/wheel centric.
You can get ones like the BFI 10mm spacers. But you will notice that the chamfered edge is only compatible with OEM VW wheels.

I have 8" offset 45 and they are only just within the guards. Also worth mentioning is that RTA regs forbid the fittment of wheel spacers unless fitted as "original equipment by the vehicle manufacturer" .
Im pretty sure brembo big brake kits arent legal unless engineered either.
hmm thats not good news about the spacers... but im a bit confused.. why wouldnt the brakes be legal?
Its all about the red tape. Its needed to protect morons from themselves unfortunately.
Anyways its not that theyre "not legal" Its that you require an engineers certificate to make them legal. Heres a passage from the NSW RTA modification guide.
Brakes
Brake systems must not be modified such that the brake performance is reduced or that the risk of failure of the brake
system is increased. Brake discs or drums must not be machined beyond the reconditioning limits set down by the
manufacturer. When brakes are upgraded using components or systems which were not standard options for the
vehicle, an engineering cer tificate is necessary to attest to the adequacy of the new system, eg: hydraulic fluid sufficiency,
balanced braking on all wheels, brake pedal pressure limitations and braking performance.
