Wheel Spacers - What You Need To Know
Can anyone confirm or otherwise if wheel spacers are legal in QLD please?
Not legal unless fitted to the car from the factory.
Not likely to cause a problem though unless you want to make a claim on insurance - use at own risk.
Or buy the right wheels.

They are, as Dutch said ILLEGAL and in all States in Australia unless factory fitted as in some Porsches.
'Far better to buy wheels with a different offset to give a safer result that looks the same.
It is worth noting that the link above takes you to a UK site where they MAY be legal.

If they were legal it would solve the snow chains problem.
Buy some wheels with the offset to give you the same aspect then Would be far safer than sticking longer bolts in and then putting chains on to put even more strain on them.
We used to have a spare set of cheap rims with snow tyres on for the winter and just changed them over when it snowed.
