Hi guys,
looking for some help... looking at getting some VMR V710's matte black 19x8.5 5x112 57.1 ET45 for my MKV Golf GTI Pirelli but am unsure about rubbing and tyre load ratings. i guess what i am asking is: does anyone have any experience with this or does anyone think this is a problem.
Is anyone able to give me some ideas whether this will A: look good, B: maintain performance and C: tyres will suit the load rating. Would rather go larger rims than lower as Kerbs suck here in QLD...
PS: i know nothing about wheels, have never moddified from standard wheels before so all/any help appreciated!
Thanks, Don.
the topic about load ratings for tyres on these wheels (19x8.5) have been flogged to death in the mk5 section.
from memory you need 225/35s to get clearance, but need a 235/35 to get the load rating.
personally load rating doesnt worry me if its 1 or 2 points below recommended, iv only ever heard of 2 cops that actually know about it and check it. so then it comes down to insurance, are you worried about crashing and possibly voiding your insurance?
