Which wheel finish on tungsten silver?

Just looking for some external opinions on which wheel finish to go for.
The car is tungsten silver and I am deciding between black or gunmetal Neuspeed Rse12's.

Of the 2 choices you have given us, I say gunmetal.

IO would also look into bronze though as it looks ace on silver cars.

Yeah was looking at bronze after seeing this pic, that mk5 gti looks tungsten silver-ish.

Gunmetal got my vote - as black has been absolutely done to death. Black also has the following against it in my opinion:

    - shows brake dust very quickly and they just look dirty
    - just looks like a car thats lost its hubcaps and is running with a black steel wheel (unless its a really smick car)
    - looks like big black blobs where the wheels should be - gives no contrast between rims and tyres.

Gunmetal looks great on white, red, blue and silver. As mentioned above, bronze can also look good on silver.

Just be careful with rims that have a satin or matte finish, as the brake dust tends to stick to the rims and ruins the way they look over time. My friend had a matte gunmetal rim on his Mk5 GTI and they looked great when they were new, but after about a year they had brown stains from the brake dust that you could not get off. Quite a few other people with matte finishes have said the same thing.

Yeah, I think I'll go with gunmetal! Not sure if the RSe12's are matte or satin finish, but thanks for the tip.. will have to clean them regularly (especially with the brake pad dust on VWs )
