    Cool Wheel advice

    Hey Guys,

I have a set of Audi Bolero wheels I am hoping to run on my mk3 vr6 for something different. I will be running low profile tyres with some stretch and want to try and run a bit of poke. The Bolero wheel stats are:

    8" X 17"

    ET 40.

    5 X 112

My question is what size adapters do you think I need to buy (front and rear) to achieve this? Wheel offset calculator is saying 28mm - that sound right to you guys? Would that be front and back?
Also can anyone tell me the centrebore size and hardware size on a vr6? I dont want to mess up on these things and being that I'm new to the scene I thought I better ask!

    thanks in advance!

Specs of your vr6 should be 5x100 stud pattern, 57.1 centre bore, 14mm bolts
How low do you plan on being? and how much stretch are you looking to have?

Offset id leave up to someone with a Mk3, but at a guess you'd be looking at finals of 25up front and 20 rear? so 15mm and 20mm adapters?

^ Thanks, hoping to run this pretty slammed but might be wishful thinking! Tyre stretch was maybe thinking 8_205_45_R17, Is this gonna be the worlds worst handling vr6? Super nice Bora by the way!

    205 45 17 would be big on a mk3 id imagine, maybe 205 40 17?
205 on a 8 isnt tooooo bad, should be good for daily driving id think...

Check out schoona's thread, some good information on widths and offsets across the last few pages for a Mk3

    Thanks

Mickey is running a similar set up to what you want.

I'd be looking at getting *20 (F) and 15mm (R) * adapters (assuming you're going adaptec? ) and popping a little bit of extra camber on the rear.

Look around for a 195/40/17 although I do believe they're a bit harder to find. but a 205/40 should work also. 195 will show some pretty decent stretch.

edit: 20mm Rear and 15mm front.

Actually 195 40 17 was what I originally wanted but hear they are impossible to find? I have some tyre connections I'll try and work to find me a decent set. Will be going with adaptecs on the spacers as well. Thanks guys.

    Sorry, typo! Thanks Dylan!

    20mm R and 15mm F.

But as with anything stance related, it is always good to consult with the master (ray ray!)

Who's running adapters here? I know they are illegal but are they dangerous? I am looking at adaptecs not cheap ebay numbers but I'm little bit worried they might come off on the freeway!
