What specs are these?

Hi all,
Have found some Porsche wheels for sale near by that im keen on, the owner said the specs are 17x7 ET55 and 17x8.5 ET50
They are apparently off a Porsche Boxer
they say the tyres are 255/40 r17 and 215/50 r17 so i guess that could be correct...
Just wondering if anyone can confirm this? I thought porsche would have run something a little wider... (which is what i was hoping for)


If people think this is the case, what would they be worth?

those wheels are perfect for adaptors, im actually trying a set on the passat today, except their 17x7.5 and 17x9 all ET53 so well c what happens..

but yeah id deffo look into those badboys! great starting point

tyres will be a little tall?? and as dom said with et 50 you can have space for 25mm+ odd spacers bring your et to a nicer poke friendly number

Those specs would be correct - 996/Boxster

Some people opt for two pairs of the rear wheels

cheers guys, tyres heights are ok actually, only a little bit bigger then my stock 15s.
will look chunky but oh well. the 255 will be a little wide but if i can get them cheap ill get them for something better then the 15s to drive on while i pull the BBS apart
there more the specs i was after dom! if you want them gone cheap... lol
Not a bad idea ray! dont know if i can get my coils low enough on 8.5s up front though... will look into it!
