Are you running these as a permanent thing? Stock wheels got too much rash or something? I reckon go for a lighter colour since you've got a darker car. I'd say silver.

Thanks for that Ray, I want that flush look but still want them to easily removable with no daily scrubbage.

The stockers will have semi slicks on the front for drag and other events, and the steelies will be the daily wheels which still need two more new tires on them. I would like to do something a bit different from what I've already seen and hence the colours I'm leaning towards the orange at the moment and I'm getting some lowered springs from Alex so things are starting to shape up...

I've split the other two rims folks, and now that I have all 4 (thanks Matt) I'm just about the sand them back and prep them.

Since widening the wheels are out of the question financially atm, does anyone have anymore suggestions before I decide to give them all a nice thick coat of primer and my favourite PK0080 gloss black?

I've just finished painting them black and will polish them tomorrow. I think I did a pretty good job considering I did the cleaning, prep and painting all in the one afternoon.

    Will post pics tomorrow...

More pics after you put them on please!!!

I'd like to see black rims and no foggies on a burgundy mk3, thinking of heading in a similar direction

Lol, the foggies/reflectors aren't there because the car was in a prang lol... I've had to butcher both front and back bumpers a bit so they sit on straight Yeah just as soon as I get my lowered springs from Alex and put the semi-slicks on next week I'll take some pictures, it should be good.

And considering my other MK3 was all show and no go I'd really like to do something different with this one.

Another update, just put a deposit on a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE001's. I should be getting them tomorrow arvo. They were only $10 more per tire than the Falken "semi-slicks" (as some of you have been saying).
