I will give a vote for leaving them black, and another one for widening them to similar proportions as Ray's steelies. I'm not too sure how good coloured ones would look on a VR like yours, maybe gunmetal would look ok?

Maybe a creamy white colour but only if you are rocking wide shizz set-up... Probably best mount 2 wheels on one side of the car get a side on photo then work some photo shop magic

they are way too thin to look good on any car.....widen the hell out of them! and then paint them ivory with a maroon pinstripe around just inside the edge.

that would look fo' schnitzel ma pretzel!

Keep in mind the budget factor guys, $60 for paint VS. $900 for widened steelies and powder coating

Hmnn intriguing, but I'm still unwilling to modify the guards since the paint on this car is quite good, bar the bumpers.

I wonder whats the max I could go on them without touching the guards? 15x8 ET 45 and what 15x7.5 ET38?

All wheel specialists I've seen don't band steelies, only re-barrel them. In that case, there's not a lot of sizes to go for - I know you can go 8", but the next step up will be 10". Not sure about the sizes under 8"!

For conservative, you'll be fine with 8" ET30-35 for the fronts and ET 20-25 for the rears. Flush at best, and still won't foul suspension.
