    Tyre size for ATS cups on a Mk2?

    Kinda bamboozled by this whole wheel offset and tire situation.

    I'm thinking of getting 15x7 ATS cups for a Mk2...It is on adjustable coilovers and has been lowered..does that effect the offset?

    I want the tires to have a bit of a sidewall but I want that chunky look that I see in so many done up Golfs.

    I may need to talk to someone in person but what size tire would be best for that look?
    Can I get a regular tire place in Melbourne to fit them
    like that?

    Thanks guys..yeh just seen your post there.

    It's a bit to get my head around..I mean I know what I like when I see
    it but how that translates to tire size/wheel size I'm not sure.

    Been looking at a few dif types of wheels but it's really down to that basketweave bbs look ( those are pricey, looks good though, or I get a copycat rim ) or the ATS cup.

    Will hopefully get to a meetup and look at some set ups

    i cant see what the problem is, 7" isnt wide so you shouldnt have any problems...if you want to have a stretched look you will be looking at a small profile and a narrow tyre which will be pants IMO

    Pretty much any wide 15" wheels will suit a MK2. Before i found my ATS's I was going to get a set of these;

    or these;

    Both in 15x8 ET25 which would sit very nicely

    8x15 is a nice size for a mk2

    just be careful with the offsets!

    the BMW RA's suit mk2's well are they have a ET13 (i think) and they are 15x7 but fill the arch nice.

    I like the minilite style ones above, they are wicked

    These are cheap...is Miata a bad make of wheels?

    These look nice as well

    Ronals come in 15x7.5 which could be decent....$900 for them though!

    I was looking at the basketweave Rochfords but postage is hien from UK...
