    Tyre importing from UK

This question has prob been asked before, but does anyone know what the laws are on having tyres sent from the uk i.e are they legal etc. Im purchasing a set of BBS RS's (16x9 ET15,16x9.5 ET07) and cant seem to find anywhere who will stretch 215/35's on to them in melbourne. Have had styledynamix in the UK stretch tyres for me in the past before I emmigrated to oz, so can have them do it and have them sent by mail?? PLEASE HELP!!!

I reckon you just have to search a bit harder for your stretch request Wabit on this forum stretches all sorts of crazy combinations, PM him or something and he'll be able to get you in contact with someone who will do it

Yeah mate, might be better if you could go around the back to the workshop area and ask the attendants there rather than the receptionists. Just say you're willing to pay cash to have the tyres fitted and if they still don't want to, say you won't be using it on the road. Works for me.

Edit: That's an insane size and offset though, what are they gonna be fitted on?

The 16x9 would be alright for going on the back of a mk3, but what about the damn 16x9.5

I recently(ish) had a set of RS 301's sent over from Ireland, they had P Zero Nero's on them in 195/40/17, i've realised i can't get this size over here so i'm thinking of having some sent over from the UK too.....

It wasn't a problem when my tyres came over on my wheels anyway, so you should be OK.

As has been previously stated, Wabit knows a place in melbourne that will probably do it for you.

Did you have any luck with finding tyres mate? Know of any online tyre shops that will post to Australia?
