I dont think they would put a cheaper value on the invoice as that would be fraud and they are a pretty big business.

You could do split shipments though. Like send 2 wheels or whatever to your address and send another 2 a week later to your mates address.

That's right tirerack are a legit business and wouldn't do that.

Just order two at a time if you're worried.

A mate of mine asked tire rack to do that when he ordered some Enkei RPF1's - they didnt do so.

Tire rack only accept TT payments these days. A gentle debate with a sales rep over the phone got me nowhere. Company policy. It cost me $25 with ANZ, but be very careful to check with your bank how much they charge.

Kiel - If you arent getting responses via e-mail, ring them. It's a 12hr time difference between where tire rack is (South Bend, Indiana) and Perth. They're nice enough folk

For the customs stuff, I paid just over $1k AUD for my rims (incl shipping), but somehow escaped paying any duties.

Honestly though I'm not keen on buying from them again. Two stuffed up orders in a row has left a bad taste in my mouth. My local wheel n tire shop can now get OZ rims cheap and I want to support their business, so I will go there from now on.

And at 60% of the cost I could get them from here including freight! I went for Bridgestone RE050a's 2254018 RY.

Can't wait to get 'em on!
When I asked them if they did international postage they said no. I was asking for wheels and tires though, maybe that was the difference

They pushed me onto aussiecarimports.com who said that they could do it for USD$150 from US to AU

Im going to dig up a older thread.

I got a price from them for my new tyres and i could get all 4 tyres shipped for less then two before shipping here (let alone them not even having the other size i wanted listed)

A little off topic, but are certain tyres not suited for our Australian conditions?

Here's what im after, can someone give me some advice on if they will be ok. and if not, what i should be looking for?
one tyre in this size the other same brand, just change in size

    Cheers
