Tire rack + Enkei RPF1 question.

    Hey everyone,

Well i asked a question the other day reguarding OZ ultraleggeras, since then i've gone south from that idea, love the wheels but they are getting a little overdone, so i've got my heart set on some 17x8 Enkei RPF1 wheels! probably with an offset of et35...

Now, my question reguarding the wheels themselves is in reguards to front brake clearance on the mK4 R32, as i know there can be issues with the bigger brake becoming a problem with some wheels. Has anyone had experiences with these wheels or knows if i will get the clearence using that size?

My next question is in reguards to Tire Rack; has anyone used them to purchase wheels from? If so, what king of freight charges where you up for?

    Any help would be great..

    Drew.

Not sure if u still care or not but the RPF1 in 17" 5x112 is only available in 7.5" width with an offset of 48 which wont poke out like crazy compared to the 35 u suggested.

The Mk4 has a PCD of 5x100 from memory....

I know a few members have gone through Tirerack, Drew.
They didn't give me a price on shipping when i asked for a set of wheel recently though.

I have these on a Polo GTI, although 45 offset.

    They clear Audi TT brakes.

Bigger brake setups will require more understanding of how far they protrude.

Shipping will be $500-ish for wheels and tyres based on their tyre-only postage rate of $240... I have been looking at the same set and specs for the Polo, just need to save up a few clams after the last round of mods

Check everything twice... Offsets, PCD, width, tyre load rating, spigot rings (most aftermarket wont be 57.1), etc...

    Sure you want 17s Drew?

Have only ever heard good things about Tirerack.

FWIW I ran 17x7.5 ET32 on my R and they cleared my brakes just fine. check my thread to see what they look like.

18s with width will be fugging dope

the right 17s can look good on a mk4. but if your not retarted low they sometimes arent the best if you want something different
