Thinking outside the box on new wheels!

Ok so i have BBS Rc's on the bora at the minute and i love them but i think the are getting a little bit too popular esp over here in Ireland, and i'm constantly scouring for new rims of course there are the obvious LMs etc but the are too high maintenance for a daily driver, and my dream wheels are too expensive! (BBS RS GT)

So i got thinking about fitting wheels with a different PCD and using adapters but for this to work i have to go with a wheel with a pretty big offset and that limits me again,so lately i started looking at TOUAREG wheels the seem to be 130x5 with an offset of around 55,thus if i run 100 - 130 adapters which are about 15-20mm thickness i will end up back at my original offset of 35.these ones esp catch my eye both are 18x8 and i think the would look pretty cool, thoughts?

Didn't know Touareg was 5x130! You'll be open to using Porsche wheels as well, seeing as some of their setups use high offsets too.

I wonder what the stud patern and offset of these is?

The reason the Touareg wheels caught my eye was becasue no noe else is running them on a bora and the are relatively cheap and plentyful.

your ride looks sweet as it is huh though i prefer the bottom tourag rim as apose to the first one, and then the porsche rim above would be 5x130 and is definately the hottness!

Yeah did abit more research on the porsche rims and the go for around 2-3k! i think the second Touareg rim looks very S3/S4 ish with a little hint of gallardo

I don't know what to do i love my RCs but fancy a change.

the bottom touraeg wheels look really really nice, however i reckon the top link that you posted, those wheels would add a certain.... well, phattness, and yet subtlety.....

you know, like when polos have oem audi wheels in 17 inch- wheels that are rather conservative on the stock audi car they come on, but on a smaller vw car, just look so subtle, and classy, yet sick at the same time.

re the ve commodore wheels- they are, hands down, amongst the prettiest wheels i've ever seen. dunno if they'd suit the lines of the bora?

they'd look fat azz! 20x8 front and 9.5 rear! only problem is that there $3,600+ tyres!! so your looking at $5k+.... THEN! you have to get adapters to bolt them up!!
