Time for some on track comparison/testing at the Island - we need Scotty to join us as a control subject.

    give him time...

after DOVW he'll want some wheels...

and after the wheels, he'll want mad fitment, and then it'll get lower! hahaha

I've got FK's too (not konigsports) and i'm super happy with them. My car handles and rides really nice, and it's pretty damn low.I'd reccommend them to a friend!

thanks for the kind words, guys!

to be honest, it was lower than in the pics, but a couple of "uh-oh im fcked!" crashes that sounded like they were coming from around where the oil pan would be, and i raised it up 8mm.... amazing how just 8mm of height doesnt make the car look any different, but damn it made it more practical for daily driving (no more scraping / crashes on the same roads).

as for wheels.... dammit mang, i'd love to get something tight and have my pog looking as good as some other pogs out there, but to be honest the ONLY wheel i'd go is the enkei RPF1, simply because it's light. at the moment, the bora V5 (you got it, dylan - 15x6.5 et43 iirc) wheels weigh just a tad under 8kg a piece, and unless i can find something lighter in a 15inch wheel that isnt going to cost the earth, then i'll probably just refurb these somewhere down the track, as bringing in a set of RPF1's in 15x7 5x100 would cost a shtpile.

besides, i like the cheaper prices and the incognito looks of 15 inch wheels on the pog. would my car look better on some tight 17's? hell yes! would it look way better than it does now? hell yes! would i accept them if someone was offering me some rad wheels for free? no... i'd stick with 15's because even though i know it would look better, i kinda like being a little conservative. im weird like that.

now, this whole track business, josh and greg.... im not saying this to be funny, but rather realistic. if you wanted my car to be the control car, then in all fairness, you two would have to put around 50kg's of ballast under the driver's seat

Check out jdmstyletuning.com once in a while, there's often a few guys selling RPF1s (albeit in other stud patterns). They're not that expensive compared to other "known" wheels too I think?

You can't get them in that fitment and you can't get blanks and redrill them because the 15" castings are mode for 4/100 have indents between the bolt holes
I think we'd have to go to Superlites, Minilites or Watanabes for 15" 5/100 light rims

Or maybe just get the highest offset 15" RPF1 (+41) and use 4/100 => 5/100 adapters and just accept the degraded steering response...

It wouldn't be that much and GoLfMan & I could leave our rear seats in to balance it out

the highest offset RPF1's being only 41, that'd probably be a no-go as you'd need adapters (another $500 or whatever) which would have to be at least 15-20mm thick, and that's too low an offset for my tastes, to be honest. it'd have good poke, but an offset of 26 might be impractical for me for daily duties.

man those watanabes look AWESOME! not cheap, though - $500+ per wheel, and being that my car is parked on street, i just know that they'd attract attention from the wrong sort of people, they're that distinct.

ah well, looks like i'll be sticking with the boras for a while yet, no harm done. and yes, greg, it'd be 50kgs, unless you're already in the triple digits club lol
