SuperPro control arms for mk5/mk6 comparison

    Installed these on the weekend:

    ready to install:

    weight comparison:

    stock arms and bushings

    and the outer part:

    superpro arm and bushings

    and the outer part

getting an alignment tomorrow, but on the short test drive I did, noticed much smaller steering wheel 'dead zone' and notably better grip over bumps/undulations.

Tyre life ought to be better out of sight

Very nice mate, watching with great interest, planning lower arms myself. RTR have the adjustable ball joint ends for these if you want more camber.

I have had these installed on my car for about two months or so now. They improve the car traction a lot. When I occassionally give it some boot, the traction control lights start flashing, but it has not broken traction. Once I got a tyre chirp, but loving this mod, it was worth it.

My main motivation is I do plenty of km on concrete freeway and tyre life could be better... with the 1.9TDI traction is not really a problem most of the time

Also, for anyone interested, I kind of expected the kit to come with grease but there was none. Anyway, I used red Castrol ...MRB?...i think... rubber grease (which I have been using on suspension bushings for years). You can buy a tub for around $10.

I also think that from time to time the rear bushing may need re-greasing. We shall see.

    **EDIT**

Got a wheel alignment done, to fix the toe, good as gold and plenty of turn in...

Not sure about people saying how this mod improves 'traction' - certainly theres more corner grip now but it just makes the car so much more fun to thrash through corners, hence making the TCS light a whole lot more prevalent on my dash.

Before this mod, I didnt really like to push the car through corners as much.... now, its amazing.

    Highly recommend.

I know why you struggle with traction, just quietly.....
