    Spacers/Bolt length

Does using 10mm spacers require longer bolts?
I had heard that anything 10mm and under is ok, is this right?

    wouldnt think so
I ran 5mm on my stock bolts and i felt dodgy doing that.
Engineering rule of thumb, the width of the bolt needs to be length fixed.
So your 14mm bolt. Should stick out the back of hub, or hub and spacer combined in your case, 14mm.
Even running different wheels with stock bolts could be a problem if they have a thick mounting point between the car hub and the wheels bolt seats.
    Up to you though.

    what Dylan said.

I wouldn't run stock bolts. I even used (slightly) longer bolts for 5mm spacers.

I generally get a stock wheels and bolt, stick the bolt through (off the car) and measure how much of the bolt is extruding past the wheel mounting face. (this is the length that normally would be in the hub)

Then, when changing to after market wheels or spacers (as Dyl mentioned, some are 'fatter') I do the same, and try and get the length extruding to be similar to the stock 'measurement'.

Yes, going too long can be an issue, as they can protude past the hub, into the drum etc etc. (just as a disclaimer, so you don't go and get the longest bolts you can find)

Too short will be an issue, cause then the bolted joint wont have all the strength that it should, and your wheel bolts will fall out.

In summary, get bolts that are 10mm longer
