thanks for the info, but to achieve the style I want, I'm going to have to stretch tyres
Damn, this thread could get ugly...
If the tyre is not fitted properly and it breaks the seal at speed, you could end up anywhere... I think you've got to be honest about what you are driving, same as a car with too much camber.
Here is another thread on a stretched tyre causing an accident: link

VW: it aint just a car, its a way of life
There are few things more satisfying in life than finding a solution to a problem and implementing it

If tyres were over enginered, then they would have been under normal working conditions. Streching a tyre across a wide rim is not something that is taken into account. Take a runflat, the side wall is designed to take the weight of the car with no pressure in the tyre. Not that you would, Or even could for that matter strech a run flat. There is no way the side wall could support the weight at the silly angle on the side wall.
Yes its true that worse things can happen, but would you dangle your balls over a open fire, safe in thinking that , its ok they will not set on fire !!!!
LOL.
I have. It far exceeds the enjoyment offered by the stretching of tires.
Were stretched Tyres a topic of discussion or were just out of ordinary stresses? It would be interesting to see statistics of stretched tyre failures.
I could imagine the lifespan of the tyre would take a fair hit
Driving the coal. Low and rattly.
