Matt showed me some of the wheels they've done recently in dark grey, and I picked a Ferrari dark grey with gloss finish.
They put 4 x 18" wheels on my Scirocco and sent me on my way. Will pick them up tomorrow!
Meanwhile my tire sensor went off due to the 18's being on, and I am trying to figure out how to fix that.. I suppose I could rtfm.
Man I wish we had a place like this in Sydney. Have sent emails to almost every powder coater/painter in the city. Of the ones who wrote back (two), none have loan tyres to lend.

she_dub....out of curiosity, do you know how much does it cost to fix one corner (without getting them painted)?

It depends on the colour of the wheel and where the scratch is. It can cost anywhere from $80 to close to $200. Best to give Matt a call for a quote

    Hi all,
When I got my Golf GT Sport Diesel about 6 months ago it had pretty mint wheels but my wife seemingly made it her mission to mash each corner..(nothing there about female drivers, just my wife. drives me mad (pardon the pun.))
On recommendation from here, took said mangle wheeled Golf to Wheel Solutions in Richmond , Melbourne (off Church St)
$165 a wheel inc GST, done same day, good job, friendly guys. Would recommend them and would use them again (probably should have said will...wish it wasn't the case.)
Now...anyone know of anything to help protect rims? not really an option to ban the wife ...maybe there's a rubbing strip or something I can place on each rim edge?
How much are new SevenX wheels (or are they called ClassiX?) anyway? Could have 2 sets...his n hers
    Cheers Tim

Nuway in Heidelberg did good with 2 of my moderately rashed rims - a hurried reverse park in pouring rain alongside the dreaded bluestone...

Anyway, can recommend them, $75 per wheel for the repairs, or as quoted by twr above, $165 if you need the whole wheel resprayed.

    REALLY??!!!

i have just tentatively booked my car with Advanced Alloy Wheels in Moorabbin. they seemed really great and seemed to have all the necessary equipment and kit. (i.e. looked professional).
They also advised me that they offer a lifetime warranty on their workmanship, so if paint starts to bubble or peel off they will fix the entire wheel free of charge.

Did you try taking your wheel back? IF so what did they say?

i am now concerned and thinking maybe i should go to the guys in richmond
