Rubbing question for the wheel boffins

So I've been looking at wheels for my mk6 GTI to replace the OEM 17s later this year and have a question for the boffins on here.

So I've found some wheels I like, BBS CM 18x8 ET44 my question therefore is looking at the offset calulator at 1010tires it states that inner clearance will increase by 1mm and outer position will extend a further 13mm, will this rub with 225/40R18 tires.

Just thinking out loud really as the wall height may be a little too low for what I'm after in the comfort stakes (daily driver for the most part) but who knows, comments?

Just hit 235/35 for safetys sake?

I the 1mm means SFA, and 13mm is not that much to put the face out by, I'd say you are pretty safe

jack up the wheel in question so that you are forcing the suspension to compress at the same time, and get your tyre inside the arch. then just measure the clearance

you'll be fine mate, should clear with ease if your car isnt extremely low.

    Nice choice of rims.
If you already know the dimension changes, then glddti's suggestion is pretty good to check your clearance levels.
