Roadworthy regulations regarding Coilovers in the ACT...??

As I am getting posted to Canberra next year ( ), and I am mulling the thought of installing Coilovers on my Polo, I was wondering what the ACT's take on Coilovers is? I have had a look on the net, and can't seem to find any information.
    Does anyone know??

pffft! you could probably drive a home made hovercraft in Canberra and it would be legal!

    Everything's legal in Canberra, right?!

Are you changing your car's rego to ACT rego?
If you're not, you can just argue that you're following your states rules.

pretty sure coilovers are illegal in every state, but it doesn't seem to matter, if the cops are looking THAT hard at your car (plus how many of them know what they are??? and how are they going to see them???? your probably stuffed anyways... So just do it.

The main thing I seem to be finding is that so long as the original mounting points are not modified in any way, then they are legal... I just want to find the definite answer.

    Ask your local engineer.

Ok, so it has been a while, but I have found the answer... No, you do not need an engineers certificate to install coilovers on a car in the ACT so long as it uses unmodified mounting points... However, you ride height may not be lower than as stipulated in legislation regarding height change between the center of the wheel and the lowest point of the wheel arch (this I am still trying to find). I got this info from one of the ACT Transport certified mechanical engineers provided by their website.
