    Rim repair for 18" Detroits

    Hi All,

So my sister drove my 2 week old GTI and she guttered the front left rim when she was pulling to a stop on the side of the road.

I was wondering what the best repairer will be in Sydney. Also is it hard to repair considering the finish of the detroits? Thanks

I don't think the diamond cut front face can be repaired mate. Better price a new one I'm afraid.

Yeah, they are a machined face as opposed to just painted.

I got one on mine, best u can do is wait for a single one to come up on ebay or something or fill it in with a silver marker pen.

I havent done either yet but plan to give the silver pen a go.

Isn't the general consensus while driving someone else's car, let alone brand new mk6 gti, to be ultra careful with it..

I'd be having angry words with said sister.
