Hey Brad, these wheel offset topics often do my head head in,
this is not helped by all the dodgy internet offset calculators that return incorrect results
You can't change the wheel offset, that's fixed inside the wheel,
so I assume you are trying to influence the scrub radius (driving feel and feedback)?
When I did my (front) BBK I checked the stock rim to shock clearance which was around 18mm
(My shocks are 55mm diameter - some Octavia's come with 50mm shocks)
Going from 7.5-ET51 to 8-ET35 I think this will move the wheel ~10mm closer to the shock
Milling 10mm off the hub would put the rim hard against the shock - I think???
But some of the Golf boys do run 8" ET35 - I want to know how that works
