    R36 19" tyre size?

I have just put some 19" wheels on my R36, they have 245/35/19 tyres on.

Driving on a freeway at 110kph, if you go over a big dip, I can hear the tyres scrub on the down bounce. There is plenty of clearance on the outside of the tyre, so I am guessing it's somewhere inside the guard, around the suspension.

Anyone else running 245 instead of 235?

Is this something that. 5 or 8mm spacer would fix?

    Thanks

    Simon

It depends on what your offset is for your wheels.
    I just replaced the factory 18s with 19" x 8.5" ET45 replicas with 255/35 Contisport 5P on my MY10 R36 with no rubbing.
    Factory offset is ET44 for the 18" x 8".

BTW 255/35 19 feels unreal on the road! (not as hard as I thought they might be too and they are quieter than my old Conti 3s)
(i have the adjustable suspension and even on sport they feel hard but not harsh)

Maybe confirm where its rubbing first. Iv never looked under a passat but I'd be checking spring, strut, arch liner. There will be a mark somewhere if its rubbing
