Powder Coating in Sydney

I'm looking at getting a set of brand new steelies (5x) powder coated "graphite" or "satin dark grey".

1. Can anyone recommend a powder coater in Sydney?
2. Would I need to sand/grit blast the new rims?
I've had some say don't blast as it marks the surface and can show through, others say you need to pickle the surface for proper adhesion...

Unfortunately he does, and the guy that powdercoats his wheels ain't as great IMO. He DOES do it for a fairly low price though ($40/wheel but this was in combination with other work...). I suppose a call won't hurt - tell him you were referred to by a few Volkswagen drivers that have had their widened steel wheels and BBS wheels done To be honest, powdercoating & blasting services are pretty similar in price - I've asked around wheel specialists and dedicated powdercoaters and most expect $60-$80/wheel. Sometimes it's just best going to one that's local.

Oh and blasting certainly doesn't etch any marks; if anything, they get rid of them and after a paint finish, comes out pretty darn smooth. If there are any marks left behind, it's due to insufficient blasting/sanding.
