PLEASE HELP: Wheel painting Advice (Melbourne)

    Hi Guys,

Im currently in somewhat of a predicament about my Scirocco R 19" Talladega wheels.
currently i have these plasti Dipped in black however im finding that plasti dip being a rubber compound really attracts a lot of break dust and road grime. i wash them once a week and they are literally filthy within a day or so.
Further to this they are an absolute pain in the a** to clean.

i have decided that i want to actually get my rims professionally painted and clear coated in high gloss black instead of putting up with this plasti dip stuff. I have grown to hate it and i have only had on my the wheels about 5 weeks.

I'm now asking the question to anyone out there if they know of a good place in Melbourne to take my rims to get painted.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    thanks

Interesting to hear the feedback on the plastidip, I'm looking at getting some wheels done and was tossing up between that, powder coat and paint. I have been leaning towards paint, but still need to hunt around to find someone local-ish (to Campbelltown, NSW) and get some quotes.

Let us know what sort of prices you end up getting.

    Aaron,

theres an outfit somewhere near blacktown called advanced powdercoating (the also do media blasting, which is why I called them today). I havent used them but the guy on the phone was very helpful and friendly.

I reckon if you want all one colour go for powdercoated.

A friend of mine recommended this place for wheel repairs (scratches) and painting.

    Thanks guys for ur advice.
Once I get quotes I'll let u guys know pricing on paint.

I was thinking powder coating however the finish is not as nice (factory finish) as the two pack paint and clear coat.
In fact the black talladegas that the golf R comes with as an option are two pack painted not powder coated. This is the finish that I'm after.

    Thanks once again
