Parts required for new coilover installation

Hey guys, I just ordered some hottuning coilovers yesterday (will expect to get late next week) and was wondering what parts should be replaced when putting the new coilovers in. I would rather not take the parts off the old shocks/springs as they are probably old and worn plus I don't want to kill myself with the loaded spring.

So what parts will I require for the install?

    Cheers, Tim

I just rang up VW Parts Sutherland and they want to charge me around $160 for the 4 mounts. $60 each for the fronts and $20 each for the rears. Is there a cheaper way or should I bite the bullet? (Plus do they include the nut and washer either?)

    Cheers, Tim

I don't know if you have the same issue on the Mk3, the front strut top bearings may be worn.
If your Kms are high, maybe a refresh kit? ECS One here
Cost you a bit under $250 landed, but you get a lot of bits you can use or not as required.

defiantly front strut tops. rears can re-use but it's a good chance to re-new them, as they will wear out.

If you've got the cash, a refresh kit would be a great idea. Get the car feeling top notch again. That's my plan when I buy new suspenion later in the year.

    Hi,

I just got my HPA SHS coilovers for my MKV R32. Car has done about 65000kms. Is it necessary to replace the rear strut mounts for MKV?

I will definitely replace the front strut mounts and the stretch bolts.
