    Options for a spiff-up

    Hey guys,

Recently I've been thinking about the possibility of new wheels (read: fat five-spokers with either dish or stretttcccchh or both...) but being so indecisive it doesn't sound like a good idea to change...

Anyways, I was thinking it might look real nice if my wheels could have the same finish as BMW wheels do, mainly the 90's 5 series and sportier 3 series did? Ie, a polished metal look.

My question is, how hard would it be to strip the paint and primer off my wheels and bring out the look of the metal??

I like those wheels, however i'm not sure if they'd suit your car.

Oh, you might want to get a job so you can pay for them first..

those BMW wheels look like they're painted a 'shadow chrome' rather than being polished metal.

    Oh right, the polishing thing..

It'll take you a bit.. Like more than one full weekend. And it's not easy.

Sorry, it was just a google pic lol. My mate has them on his beemer and they're a metal finish. And it seemed to me that most BMW wheels of similar spec have the same finish, and it LOOKS like polished metal so it looks nice.

Would it cost much for someone to do it for me?

Lots. They're a complicated shape to polish. Not a super complicated. But lots of faces. It takes time.
