    offsets that work on a mkV gti

    hi all,

    i'm considering running/buying some enkeis that are a
    +35 offset will this b ok on a MkV GTI?

    225/45/17 tyres on 17" rim standard ride height.

    From memory the stock offset for the Mkv GTI was et51

    ET 35 is likely to stick out too far, i would look more around the Et42-45

    This really depends on what width the wheels are?
    You may need to run a touch of camber or stretched tyres to keep them under the guards, and depending on how low your cars going to be.

    as above, offset is irrelevant without width.
    Iv seen 17x8 and 17x9 et35 tucked on a mk5, but it was fairly low, had added rear camber and only 205/45 all round. So yes low offsets can be done, but it depends on widths and other mods/work.
    At standard ride hieght id be doing as per team_v's post

    I think the wheels are 17x7.5 so I guess they are a no go for me as I will be running 225/45/17s
