    Offsets for CC

    Hi all
Interested to know if wheels with the following width /offset will fit my CC
    Fronts: 18x8.5 +32
    Rears: 18x9.5 +35

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

use a offset calculator, very simple, they are in the sticky pages.

standard wheels are 18x8et42 from memory.
so fronts will come out approx 16mm and give 4mm more room inside.
rears will come out approx 25mm and give approx 11mm less room inside.
I did that off the top of my head, so using the offset calculator should be a breeze

    Thats awesome thanks Champ!

What this offset calc tells me with ET32 18x8 is:

    Old New
    Poke 59.6mm 69.6mm = 10mm (to my guard?)
    Inset 143.6mm 133.6mm = 10mm (towards the strut?)

    ET 35, 18x8.5
    Poke 59.6mm 73mm = 13.4mm (towards rear guard)
    Inset 143.6mm 143mm = 0.6mm (towards the strut)

that calculator is confusing in some ways...
for example the 8et42 to 8et32 as you have listed above should give you 10mm more and 10mm more inner clearance. not 10mm closer to the strut as you have pasted in here.

I got to see a fairly sacked CC in person the other day, it had 19x8et52 wheels on (from a golf R) in my mind the rear sat ok and stock looking at that drop (as in it wasnt screaming for spacers). but the front sucked in a hell of a lot, easy could have spaced them out 20-30mm with some slightly skinnier tyres.

can you get your hands on any other wheels in similar specs to the ones your looking at for test fitting, or borrow some spacers to try and work out where u want yours to sit

I had the r32 reps on the car, they were 35. No scrubbing or anything on the front but rears were 42. I'm more worried about rubbing on the strut w the 32s and the width of the 8.5
I'd love to dump it on coil overs (kW dcc type) but I can think of so many better ways to spend 3.5k
Will put a call out to see if any act ppl have et32 wheels or will see if someone in qld w a cc wants to test fit the wheels.

well just bring your 8.5 offset out to suit.
so if your stock 8et42 clears, then a 8.5et36 should have the same inner clearance. itll just come outwards ~12mm.
but im sure there is room to go inwards on the stock wheels.

as i said before, the other CC was running 8et51 or 52 (i forget what golf R stock wheels are) with 235/35/19 tyres and it was all sweet for clearance. so if you use that for reference, a 8.5et45 should also be fine in regards to inner clearnce

Well PatBallamo wheels might be a go then!

I'm pretty sure the 18x8.5's will fit but its the 32's thats got me worried.
