UPDATE!!
After a bit of a long journey these wheels are *almost* ready for daily running!
I got them back yesterday from a local wheel repair place who have milled them nicely for me from ET35 so they are now more like ET43. They have also had 225/40R18's fitted, balanced nicely and are ready to go on. The last missing piece of this puzzle is a set of hub rings, sadly I think after the milling these are going to have to be custom made, but something I will look into in either case.
For the moment I have just test fitted a couple of wheels to make sure all the clearances are good...
(and please forgive the bloody filthy car, it's been in some dusty rain this week and I haven't had a chance to give her a bath yet )
I'm pretty happy with the way they fit, they definitely fill the guards out much much better than the stock rims:

Car needs to be a lot more filthy to match the new wheels
Also get some tyre shine
Congrats on getting them to fit.
Nice!
Do recall lots,of the oettingers having space to adjust the offset. Much nicer fitment.
Plans to close up that front wheel gap a bit?
They are back off for the moment waiting hub rings, everything will be cleaned up properly before proper final pics

The hub rings were sorted a couple of weeks ago and these have been happily running on the Cab and look awesome...
The only issue has been the centre caps. Of the four I have, one is *very* loose (although I think I have that sorted now) and one has the clips busted up. While I have fixed one and am in the process of fixing up the other one I have been hunting around for replacement parts.
It seems that these centre caps were made of some sort of super rare unobtainium and Oettinger themselves stopped producing them a long while ago. While scouring the net I saw all sorts of posts of people who couldn't find them (even OLD OLD threads of people in the States and the UK hunting around). Before anyone asks yes I have asked Oettinger direct as well as just about everyone who knows how to spell Oettinger if they know of any without luck...
Until I stumbled on what I think must have been the last set of four on planet earth out of the USA. (Hell you can't even find one! let alone four!!!) Listed as "new" or "near new" I had to have them. After an eBay bid followed by a cancellation request (because the seller didn't want to ship this highly volatile package to Australia) I used my freight forwarding company out of Portland, Oregon and these little beauties are in my hands and holy crap are they clean.
They really are in "new" condition! So much so that I want to pull the all the wheels off to swap these babies in! (To be fair the outside of the ones I have are pretty clean, it's just the back which are badly pitted and scarred from years on the UK's roads). Needless to say I am one happy little dubber.
Bloody Beautiful!
